The Contura XIV uses a silver-plated butt contact mechanism rather than blade terminals, providing maximum contact reliability and consistent performance across a wide temperature range. The greaseless construction is specifically designed for extreme temperature environments where conventional grease-lubricated contacts can fail.

Sealed to IP66/68 for protection against dust and prolonged water spray. A panel seal prevents water ingress beneath the panel surface, protecting the wiring connections behind the panel. The removable actuator allows style changes or replacement without removing the switch body from the panel.

Key Specifications

Part Number: 11-RK19020

Series: Contura XIV

Switch Type: Rocker, On/Off (maintained)

Circuit Configuration: SPST (Single Pole, Single Throw)

Contact Mechanism: Silver-plated butt contact

Construction: Greaseless — rated for extreme temperatures

Sealing: IP66/IP68

Panel Seal: Included — prevents water ingress beneath panel

Actuator: Removable

Compatible Applications

Marine helm panels requiring a reliable On/Off single-circuit switch with silver butt contact construction

Installations in extreme temperature environments where greaseless contact construction is required

Panels where below-panel water ingress protection is a priority

Replacement for worn or damaged On/Off SPST Contura XIV rocker switches

Parts Desk Insights

The RK19020 is a Contura XIV On/Off SPST switch — the same circuit configuration as the Sierra RK19000 Contura XIV On/Off SPST. If you are choosing between the RK19000 and RK19020, verify the actuator style or color difference against your panel requirements before ordering — the two variants share the same electrical specifications and Contura XIV construction. The silver butt contact mechanism and greaseless design give the Contura XIV a reliability and temperature range advantage over blade-terminal switches in demanding environments.
