The switch springs back to center-off the instant you release it in either direction — making it the correct choice for dual-direction momentary control applications such as trim tabs, windlasses, and actuators where you want the action to stop the instant you let go.

The patented mechanism translates rotary motion into linear switching action, and a secondary cam provides definitive detent positions — the switch clicks firmly into each active position and returns cleanly to center-off when released. The rotary format gives a more precise, mechanical feel than a standard rocker switch, making it a preferred choice for premium helm panel builds where tactile quality matters. Sealed to IP67 for above-panel components. Fits industry-standard panel openings.

Key Specifications

Part Number: 11-RS20030

Series: Contura

Switch Type: Rotary (patented rotary-to-linear mechanism)

Configuration: (On)-Off-(On) — momentary both sides, springs to center-off when released

Illumination: None

Detent: Secondary cam with definitive click positions

Sealing: IP67 (above-panel components)

Panel Opening: Industry-standard fit

Note: (On) in parentheses designates a momentary position

Compatible Applications

Trim tab control requiring momentary dual-direction switching in a rotary format

Windlass or anchor control requiring momentary deploy/retrieve switching in a rotary format

Any dual-direction momentary application where the tactile precision of a rotary control is preferred over a rocker switch

Marine helm panels requiring IP67-rated momentary dual-direction rotary switches

New helm panel builds and retrofits using industry-standard panel openings

Parts Desk Insights

The RS20030 is the right choice when you need dual-direction momentary control — trim tabs, windlasses, or similar applications — and prefer the precise, mechanical feel of a rotary switch over a standard rocker. The definitive detent gives clear tactile confirmation in each direction, and the momentary action ensures the function stops the instant you release the switch, which is the correct and safe behavior for these applications.
