The Permatex 59213 Black RTV Silicone Adhesive Sealant is a flexible, all-purpose black RTV silicone sealant supplied in a 300 ml cartridge for sealing, bonding, caulking, and gasket-support applications. This low-odor oxime silicone cures at room temperature to form a flexible rubber seal that resists vibration, cracking, shrinking, and movement across compatible surfaces.
It is suitable for a wide range of automotive, marine, industrial, shop, and maintenance sealing tasks where a black, flexible RTV silicone is required.

Fitment / Use Notice
Confirm compatibility with the surface material, fluid exposure, temperature, cure time, and service environment before use. RTV silicone is not appropriate for every sealing job. Do not use it on threaded fuel fittings, hydraulic fittings, oxygen-sensor threads, high-pressure pipe joints, or continuous fuel-immersion applications unless the product data and equipment service procedure specifically approve that use.
For threaded fittings, use the correct thread sealant or pipe sealant specified for the fluid and pressure system.
When This Product Needs Replacement
Replace the cartridge if the sealant has cured inside the tube, become lumpy, separated, contaminated, or no longer flows evenly. Remove and reapply cured RTV if the existing seal is torn, leaking, oil-soaked, poorly bonded, cracked, contaminated, or was applied to a dirty surface.
Application Notes
Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free of oil, grease, old sealant, loose paint, corrosion, and residue before application. Cut the cartridge nozzle to the required bead size and apply a continuous bead to the prepared surface. Assemble parts according to the service procedure, then allow proper cure time before exposing the sealant to fluids, pressure, or heavy load.
Cure time depends on bead thickness, humidity, temperature, and joint design. Thicker beads require more time to cure fully.
