The Kleen-Flo Kleen-Stor Engine Storage & Fogging Oil 789 is an aerosol engine storage spray designed to help protect internal engine components during seasonal layup or long-term storage. It leaves a protective oil film on cylinder walls, pistons, rings, valves, and combustion chamber surfaces to help reduce rust, oxidation, moisture damage, and sticking during periods of inactivity.
This product is suitable for winterizing marine engines, outboards, personal watercraft, snowmobiles, lawn equipment, chainsaws, generators, and other stored gasoline or diesel internal combustion engines where fogging oil is recommended by the equipment manufacturer.

Use this product only where the engine manufacturer's storage procedure allows fogging oil or cylinder storage oil.
Fitment / Use Notice
Confirm the correct storage procedure for the exact engine before use. Some modern EFI, direct-injection, catalyst-equipped, or sensor-heavy engines may have manufacturer-specific fogging procedures that differ from older carbureted engines. Follow the service manual for the engine type, fuel system, and emissions equipment.
Do not spray into hot exhaust components, electrical sparks, open flames, or enclosed areas without ventilation. Aerosol fogging oils are flammable and should be handled according to the label and safety data sheet.
When This Product Is Used
Use fogging oil during seasonal storage, winterization, long-term layup, or whenever an engine will sit unused long enough for moisture and internal corrosion to become a concern. It is especially useful for marine and outdoor power equipment exposed to humidity, salt air, condensation, or long off-season storage.
Application Notes
For carbureted engines, the typical storage method is to run the engine at a warm idle and spray fogging oil into the carburetor or intake according to the equipment manufacturer's procedure until the engine begins to smoke heavily or stalls. Shut the engine down safely.
For cylinder protection, remove the spark plugs, spray fogging oil into each cylinder, and rotate or crank the engine briefly with ignition disabled to distribute the oil film across the cylinder walls and piston rings. Reinstall the spark plugs after fogging.
Always follow the engine manufacturer's storage instructions, especially on EFI, 2-stroke oil-injection, diesel, and catalyst-equipped engines.
Storage & Safety Notes
Store the aerosol can in a cool, dry location away from heat, sparks, flame, and direct sunlight. Keep the cap on when not in use. Do not puncture, burn, or expose the container to high heat. Use with adequate ventilation and wear appropriate eye and hand protection during application.

Parts Desk Insight
Fogging oil is a simple but important storage product for engines that sit through winter or long periods of inactivity. The goal is to coat internal metal surfaces before moisture can settle in the cylinders. For best results, combine fogging with fresh stabilized fuel, proper oil service, cooling-system winterization, and battery/storage maintenance.
