When This Product Needs Replacement
Replace the fuel level gauge if the needle sticks, reads incorrectly with a known-good sender, has failed illumination, has corroded terminals, a damaged bezel, cracked lens, water intrusion, or intermittent readings caused by internal gauge failure. Before replacing the gauge, inspect the sender, ground, ignition feed, and signal wire to confirm the issue is not in the tank sender or wiring.
Installation Notes
Disconnect battery power before working on the instrument panel. Install the gauge into the correct 2-1/16 in. opening and secure it with the supplied bracket and hardware. Connect the ignition-positive, ground, sender signal, and lighting circuits according to the gauge wiring instructions.
For accurate readings, the sender ground and gauge ground must be clean and secure. If installing a new sender, match the sender length and swing range to the fuel tank depth and confirm the sender uses the same 240–33 ohm signal range.
