When This Product Needs Replacement
Replace the fitting if it is cracked, bent, corroded, cross-contaminated, worn at the barbs, damaged at the hex, or no longer holds the hose securely. Replacement is also recommended if the hose connection shows leaks, clamp damage, hose swelling, hose cracking, or signs of chemical incompatibility.
Installation Notes
Cut hose ends square and inspect for cracks, swelling, hardening, or internal deterioration before assembly. Push the hose fully over each barb until it seats evenly against the fitting body. Use properly sized marine-grade clamps and tighten securely without cutting into the hose.
After installation, pressure-test or run the system under normal operating conditions and inspect for leaks. Recheck clamp tightness after the hose has warmed, cooled, or settled into position.
