The Stewart Warner 82114 Deluxe Marine Water Temperature Gauge is a classic analog electrical gauge designed for monitoring engine cooling-water or coolant temperature on compatible 12V marine dashboards and instrument panels. It is a standalone water temperature gauge, not a combination pressure/temperature cluster, and matches the Stewart Warner Deluxe Marine gauge styling used on related instruments such as the 82111 fuel gauge and 82112 voltmeter.
This gauge fits a standard 2-1/16 in. / 52 mm dash opening and displays water temperature across a 100°F to 240°F short-sweep range.

Application Compatibility
Common application context includes marine dashboard installations where a 2-1/16 in. 12V electrical water temperature gauge is required, including:
- Pleasure boats and cruisers.
- Commercial vessel helm panels.
- Inboard and sterndrive engine temperature monitoring.
- Custom marine instrument clusters.
- Dash gauge replacement projects.
- Matching Stewart Warner Deluxe Marine gauge panel layouts.
- Engines using a compatible Stewart Warner electrical temperature sender.
Use this gauge only where the sender, voltage, dash opening, wiring layout, and temperature range match the installation.
Fitment Notice
Confirm compatibility by dash cutout size, system voltage, sender part number, sender thread size, cooling-system port size, wiring terminals, lighting circuit, and available panel depth before ordering. This gauge requires a compatible electrical water temperature sender and should not be paired with an unmatched sender resistance range.
The temperature sender is sold separately. If the engine block, thermostat housing, or manifold port uses a different thread size than the sender, the correct brass adapter may be required.
When This Product Needs Replacement
Replace the water temperature gauge if the needle sticks, reads incorrectly with a known-good sender, has failed illumination, corroded terminals, a cracked lens, water intrusion, a damaged bezel, or intermittent readings caused by internal gauge failure. Before replacing the gauge, inspect the sender, sender ground path, ignition feed, gauge ground, and signal wire.
Installation Notes
Disconnect battery power before working behind the instrument panel. Mount the gauge in the correct 2-1/16 in. opening and secure it with the supplied bracket and hardware. Connect the ignition-positive, ground, sender signal, and lighting circuits according to the Stewart Warner wiring instructions.
Install the sender in the correct engine temperature port so it contacts the coolant or water flow being measured. Use the proper thread adapter only if required, and avoid blocking the sender tip with excessive sealant. After installation, run the engine to operating temperature and confirm the gauge reading is stable and reasonable for the engine’s cooling system.

Parts Desk Insight
The key compatibility point is the sender. A water temperature gauge must be paired with the correct electrical sender range, and the sender must be installed in a cooling-system port that accurately reflects engine temperature. When troubleshooting a temperature gauge, check the sender, ground, wiring, and engine temperature with an independent reading before replacing the gauge.
