The 76214T5 is a genuine Mercury MerCruiser Quicksilver aluminum anode plate designed to fit into the anti-ventilation plate trim tab anode cavity on select Mercury, Mariner, Force, and MerCruiser applications. It provides sacrificial corrosion protection while giving extra clearance where a traditional trim tab anode could interfere with a high-rake propeller.
Because this is an aluminum anode, it is suitable for saltwater, brackish water, and mixed-water use. Mercury describes it as a flat anode plate used in place of the standard trim tab anode where additional propeller clearance is needed.
