The Yamaha 93104-22M07-00 is a genuine Yamaha OEM oil seal used in select Yamaha outboard engine and lower-unit assemblies where the factory parts diagram calls for this exact seal. This SO-type lip seal helps retain oil or gear lubricant while helping keep water, moisture, sand, and debris out of the rotating shaft or housing area.
Depending on the Yamaha model and diagram location, this seal may be used in lower crankshaft, driveshaft, water pump base, or lower casing sealing positions. Always match by exact Yamaha part number and factory diagram before ordering.

Serial Number Fitment Notice
Confirm fitment by Yamaha model code, serial number, horsepower, shaft location, lower casing diagram, and service manual before ordering. Yamaha uses many similar oil seals across crankshaft, driveshaft, water pump, gearcase, and lower-unit positions, so horsepower range alone is not enough to confirm fitment.
When This Part Needs Replacement
Replace this oil seal whenever it is removed, stretched, nicked, hardened, flattened, cracked, or disturbed during service. It should also be replaced if there is gear oil leakage, water intrusion, milky gear oil, oil seepage at the crankshaft or driveshaft area, seal lip damage, shaft groove wear, or corrosion around the seal bore.
Installation Notes
Inspect the shaft sealing surface before installing the new seal. A grooved, pitted, rusty, or rough shaft can damage the new seal lip and allow the leak to return. Lightly lubricate the seal lip with clean marine grease or the lubricant specified in the Yamaha service manual before installation. Press the seal squarely into the bore using a proper seal driver or a flat, correctly sized installer. Do not drive the seal in crooked, and do not strike the sealing lip directly.
When servicing lower-unit or water pump areas, inspect the water pump base, driveshaft seals, pump housing gasket, impeller, gear oil condition, and related O-rings at the same time.

Parts Desk Insight
Oil seals should always be replaced by exact part number and diagram location. A seal may look correct by outside diameter but still differ in lip design, width, spring tension, or installation depth. During lower-unit or crankshaft service, replacing disturbed seals helps prevent repeat teardown caused by gear oil leaks or water intrusion.
