When This Part Needs Replacement
Replace the transmission seals and gaskets when there is visible transmission-fluid weeping at the input shaft, output coupling, casing joint, shift selector shaft, or cover plate areas. This kit is also normally used during a gearbox casing split, reseal, or overhaul inspection, since old gaskets and shaft seals can harden, flatten, or lose sealing tension after years of heat, oil exposure, and vibration.
