Shore Power & Dockside Electrical
Shore Power Cords, Adapters, Inlets, Connectors & AC Protection
Shop shore power parts for safer dock connections, onboard charging, AC panels, and reliable power at the slip. Find 30 amp and 50 amp cordsets, EEL cordsets, straight adapters, pigtail adapters, Y adapters, reverse-Y adapters, inlets, receptacles, plugs, connectors, galvanic isolators, and installation support.
Confirm amperage, voltage, locking pattern, plug style, cord length, boat-side inlet, dock pedestal connection, and whether you need a cord, adapter, inlet, or protection device.
Find Shore Power Faster
Search by Amperage, Voltage, Cord Type, Adapter Type, Inlet, or Brand
Use exact part numbers when possible. For matching by setup, search by terms like 30A cordset, 50A EEL cord, pigtail adapter, reverse Y adapter, shore power inlet, or galvanic isolator.

Amp & Voltage Matching
Start With 30A vs 50A and 125V vs 125/250V
Most shore power mistakes start with a mismatch at the dock pedestal, cord, adapter, or boat inlet. Confirm the service rating before buying. A 30A 125V setup is not the same as a 50A 125V or 50A 125/250V setup.
Cord Length & Connection Style
Match the Boat Inlet, Dock Pedestal, and Cord Run
Choose a cord length that reaches safely without strain, sharp bends, submerged sections, or overheated coils. Check the locking pattern, plug blades, threaded collar, sealing collar, and cord-end condition.
Cordsets
Use a full shore power cordset when the boat-to-dock connection needs the correct rating, length, plug style, and weather-resistant construction.
Adapters
Use an adapter only when the dock-side and boat-side ratings and connector styles are understood. Never use an adapter to overload a cord or circuit.
Inlets
Replace worn, cracked, loose, overheated, or corroded inlets with the same rating and compatible connection style.
Protection & Safety
Dockside AC Power Should Be Matched, Protected, and Inspected
Shore power supports chargers, outlets, appliances, heaters, air conditioning, and AC panels while the boat is connected at the dock. Correct protection can include main breakers, ELCI or GFCI protection, galvanic isolation, reverse-polarity indicators, and clean wiring practices.

FAQ
Shore Power Buying Help
How do I choose the correct shore power cord?
Match the cord to your boat inlet and dock pedestal by amperage, voltage, plug configuration, locking style, cord length, and connection condition. Common setups include 30A 125V and 50A 125/250V service.
When should I use a pigtail, Y, or reverse-Y adapter?
A pigtail adapter changes one connection style to another. A Y adapter and reverse-Y adapter are used for specific split or combined shore power setups. These must be matched carefully to the boat system and dock service.
When should a shore power cord or inlet be replaced?
Replace shore power parts if they show heat damage, corrosion, cracked insulation, loose ends, burn marks, bent blades, damaged collars, or unreliable locking connections.
What does a galvanic isolator do?
A galvanic isolator helps reduce low-voltage galvanic current that can contribute to underwater metal corrosion while the boat is connected to shore power.
