Use this filter only where the engine model, serial number, thread size, gasket seat, canister clearance, and service manual confirm compatibility.
Serial Number Fitment Notice
Confirm fitment by engine model, serial number, existing oil filter number, thread size, gasket diameter, bypass requirement, and available clearance before ordering. Marine oil filters can look similar but may differ in thread, gasket seat, canister height, bypass-valve setting, and internal construction.
When replacing an oil filter, match against the filter being removed or verify through the engine manufacturer's parts lookup.
When This Part Needs Replacement
Replace the oil filter at every scheduled oil change, during seasonal service, after oil contamination, after extended storage, or whenever the canister is rusted, dented, leaking, damaged, or past the recommended service interval.
Replacement is also recommended after overheating, water-contaminated oil, major engine service, or when changing oil type.
Installation Notes
Warm the engine briefly, shut it down, and drain the oil according to the service procedure. Remove the old filter and confirm the old gasket did not remain stuck to the filter mount. Clean the sealing surface before installing the new filter.
Lightly oil the new gasket with clean engine oil, spin the filter on by hand, and tighten according to the engine or filter instructions. Do not over-tighten. Refill with the correct marine engine oil, run the engine, verify oil pressure, inspect for leaks, and recheck the oil level after shutdown.

Parts Desk Insight
The most important checks on this filter are the M22 x 1.5 mm thread, gasket fit, canister clearance, and bypass-valve requirement. A correct oil filter must seal properly, maintain oil flow, and match the engine's service specification. For marine engines, corrosion resistance and anti-drainback protection are especially important during seasonal use and long storage periods.
