Tiller Autopilot. Remove It When You Don’t Need It.
The Raymarine ST2000 Removable Cockpit Autopilot is a self-contained tiller pilot designed for tiller-steered sailboats that want reliable autopilot performance without a permanent installation. Clip it on, connect it, and let it steer — then remove it and stow it when you’re done. Simple, proven, and built by the brand that’s been setting the standard in marine autopilots for decades.
Whether you’re sailing solo on a long coastal passage or just want a break from the helm on a calm day, the ST2000 holds your course accurately and intelligently — standalone or integrated with SeaTalk or NMEA GPS for full route-following capability.

⚓ Parts Desk Insight
- Tiller-only — not for wheel steering: The ST2000 is a tiller pilot and will not work with wheel-steered vessels. Customers with wheel steering should be directed to the EV-100 Cockpit Sail or equivalent wheel-drive autopilot systems.
- AutoTack is a genuine single-handed sailing tool: This feature is particularly valuable for solo sailors — it allows the pilot to execute the tack while the sailor manages the sheets, without needing a second person at the helm.
- Standalone vs. GPS-integrated operation: The ST2000 works as a heading-hold pilot out of the box. Connecting it to a SeaTalk or NMEA GPS source unlocks waypoint navigation. Customers should confirm their existing instruments’ network compatibility before expecting route-following capability.
- Removable design has practical limits: While the removable format is convenient, the ST2000 is best suited for moderate conditions. In heavy weather or offshore passages, a fixed below-deck autopilot system is generally more appropriate for sustained use.
