The Parker Racor 230RMAM Marine Fuel Filter Water Separator is a compact diesel fuel filtration assembly designed for compatible marine propulsion engines and diesel generator applications. It combines water separation, particulate filtration, and a built-in mechanical hand primer pump to help simplify fuel-system priming and air purging after service.
This complete assembly is supplied with a 10-micron Aquabloc® spin-on filter element and a solid metal collection bowl designed for enclosed marine engine-room installations.

This assembly is intended for diesel fuel systems. Do not use it for gasoline unless the manufacturer's fuel-system approval and vessel installation requirements specifically allow it.
The 230RMAM is a complete filter/water separator assembly. During routine service, the head and metal bowl are retained, and the spin-on filter element is replaced.
Replacement Filter Element Options

When This Product Needs Replacement or Service
Service the filter element when the engine reaches its scheduled maintenance interval, when restriction increases, when water or debris is present, or when the engine shows signs of fuel starvation such as hard starting, power loss, surging, rough running, or stalling.
Replace the complete assembly if the filter head, primer pump, ports, bowl, drain, sealing surfaces, or mounting structure are cracked, corroded, leaking, damaged, or unable to seal properly.
Installation Notes
Mount the assembly upright in a secure, serviceable location with enough clearance to remove and replace the spin-on element. Use diesel-rated fuel hose, fittings, and thread sealing practices suitable for the fuel system. Confirm the inlet and outlet routing before tightening fittings.
After installation or element replacement, use the hand primer pump to purge air from the fuel system according to the engine service procedure. Check all fittings, seals, the bowl, and the filter element for leaks before returning the engine to service.
