When This Product Needs Replacement or Service
Service the filter element when fuel flow is restricted, engine power drops, water or contamination is visible in the bowl, the engine shows signs of fuel starvation, or the filter reaches its scheduled maintenance interval. Drain collected water from the bowl as part of routine fuel-system inspection.
Replace the assembly if the housing, lid, ports, bowl, drain, or sealing surfaces are cracked, corroded, damaged, leaking, or no longer able to seal properly.
Installation Notes
Mount the assembly upright in an accessible location with enough clearance above the lid for element replacement and enough clearance below the bowl for draining water. Use proper fuel-rated fittings, fuel hose, and thread sealing practices suitable for the fuel system.
