Titan 8-Plait Anchor Rode – 1/2" x 250' Nylon Line, 1/4" x 15' Chain, Shackle
A long-scope, lightweight windlass rode for vessels that need maximum scope without the weight penalty of a longer chain lead. The 250’ of 1/2" 8-plait nylon gives you the range to anchor safely in deeper water, while the 15’ chain lead keeps overall weight and chain locker bulk to a minimum. The 8-plait construction lays flat and feeds smoothly through a windlass gypsy without kinking or hockling. Hand-spliced to Grade 43 high-test galvanized chain, with PVC depth markers pre-installed and a hot-dip galvanized anchor shackle included.

This is the lightest configuration in the Titan 1/2" 250’ lineup — the right choice when you need the scope of a 250’ rode but want to keep bow weight and chain locker bulk as low as possible. At roughly 14kg, it’s significantly lighter than the 50’ chain version at nearly 24kg, which matters on smaller vessels where weight distribution affects trim and performance. The trade-off is catenary: the 15’ chain lead provides less pull-angle reduction and less bottom abrasion protection than a longer chain lead, so this rode is best suited to sand or mud anchoring rather than rocky or coral bottoms.
