This aluminum kit (SKU 194-CM280KITA) is the correct choice for the standard Volvo Penta 280 drive (single prop) in salt or brackish water. Aluminum anodes are the preferred spec for brackish and mixed-salinity environments — do not use in fresh water as aluminum will passivate and fail to protect.
