The Cole Hersee M284BP is a single-pole, lever-operated battery disconnect switch built for serious marine and vehicle electrical systems. Flip the die-cast lever to Off and the battery is fully isolated from all circuits — eliminating parasitic drain during storage and providing a fast, positive shutoff in an emergency. Flip it back to On and full power is restored instantly.
Rated at 175A continuous and 1000A intermittent across 6–36V DC systems, this switch handles the full electrical load of most marine applications including engine cranking surges. The solid brass case and 3/8" copper stud terminals are built for long-term corrosion resistance and high-current reliability. The long 3/4"-16 threaded stem accommodates panels up to 15/16" thick — more than most battery compartment panels — and the lever-style operation gives a clear, tactile on/off indication that’s easy to confirm at a glance.
