If you're regularly launching in saltwater or brackish water, this is one of the most important upgrades you can make — the pressurized grease cavity actively resists water intrusion in a way a standard dust cap simply cannot. Always measure your hub bore before ordering; the closely related 42562 (2.562") is just 0.002" larger and may also be worth comparing for your specific hub. For trailers with drum brakes, complete the hub with the Bearing Buddy Spindo Seal.
