The Blue Sea Systems 8242 is a precision DC ammeter shunt rated for 2000 amps at 50 millivolts. It works by passing the full load current through a low-resistance element and producing a proportional millivolt signal that your ammeter or battery monitor reads as current. The result is accurate, real-time current measurement without routing high-amperage conductors through the instrument itself.
