Heat Shrink Ring Terminal — 16–14 AWG, 1/4" Stud, 25-Pack
Terminate accessory and panel wiring with a watertight, corrosion-proof connection using these adhesive-lined heat shrink ring terminals. Sized for 16–14 AWG wire and 1/4" studs — the most common fastener size on marine electrical panels, fuse blocks, and accessory switches — the 46388 delivers professional-grade results in a single crimp-and-shrink step.
Key Features
- Dual-Wall Adhesive-Lined Heat Shrink — Inner adhesive melts during heating to seal the crimp zone against moisture, salt, and corrosion — the preferred marine termination method
- 16–14 AWG Wire Range — Covers the most common gauge for marine accessory circuits, instrument feeds, lighting, and panel wiring
- 1/4" Stud Size — Fits the standard 1/4" (#10) studs on fuse blocks, distribution panels, switches, and accessory terminals throughout the vessel
- Tinned Copper Barrel — Corrosion-resistant tinned copper crimp barrel maintains low resistance and conductivity in salt and humid environments
- Closed-Ring Design — Ring cannot back off the stud even if the nut loosens under vibration — the safest terminal type for marine use
- 25-Pack Quantity — Enough for a full panel wiring job or a comprehensive onboard spares kit

Stud Size Guide — Choosing 1/4" vs 3/8"
The 1/4" stud (SKU 46388) is the right choice for panel-mounted fuse blocks, switches, circuit breakers, and most accessory terminals. The 3/8" stud (SKU 825085) is used for larger battery posts, main bus bars, and high-current connections. When in doubt, measure the stud diameter or check the terminal block specification before ordering.
Installation Notes
Strip wire to the correct length so the conductor fills the barrel without protruding. Crimp firmly with a ratcheting crimper matched to the terminal gauge — avoid plier-style crimpers which produce inconsistent crimps. Apply heat evenly with a heat gun until the sleeve shrinks uniformly and adhesive flows from both ends. Allow to cool fully before connecting to the stud. Do not use an open flame — it damages the sleeve and conductor insulation.
For any marine panel or accessory wiring project, the 46388 is the go-to terminal where a sealed, vibration-proof connection is required at a 1/4" stud.
