The PCM RP026002E Thermostat Kit is a genuine OEM 143°F raw water thermostat designed for Pleasurecraft Marine (PCM) Ford-based inboard engines.
This thermostat regulates coolant flow in raw water cooled systems, maintaining a lower operating temperature compared to closed cooling systems. The 143°F rating is critical for proper operation on older PCM carbureted engines, ensuring correct fuel combustion, preventing overheating, and reducing internal corrosion caused by excessive heat.
This kit includes both the thermostat and gasket, allowing for a complete service replacement. It is specifically designed for early PCM Ford marine engines and provides correct flow characteristics required for raw water cooling systems.
