The Cannon Optimum Electric Downrigger combines precise bait placement with smart, networked trolling control. Its bright 3.5-inch full-colour LCD provides downrigger depth, sonar information and customizable operating views, while advanced functions such as Depth Cycling, Preset Depths, Bottom Tracking, Positive Ion Control, Auto Up and Waterline Zero help keep your presentation working in the strike zone.

Optimum can wirelessly network up to four compatible downriggers and allows simultaneous control through the Cannon mobile app or a compatible Humminbird fish finder. Integration with Fish Hawk X4D and Lithium Ultra systems also allows anglers to monitor the actual depth, temperature and speed at the trolling weight directly from the Optimum display.

Fitment Notice

Confirm that the mounting surface is solid, level and sufficiently reinforced to support the downrigger, swivel base and a trolling weight of up to 20 lb. The installation location must also provide adequate clearance for the boom to extend from 24 to 53 inches and rotate through the required operating and storage positions.

Part number 1902335 identifies the standard Cannon Optimum model with a composite spool and two dual-axis adjustable rod holders. It should not be confused with the Optimum TS, which uses additional marine-grade stainless steel components for more demanding saltwater environments.

When This Product Needs Service or Replacement

Inspect the stainless steel cable, spool, line terminator, releases, boom, mounting base and electrical connections before each fishing season and periodically during heavy use.

Service or replacement may be required if:

Networked downriggers and connected electronics should also be paired and tested before leaving the dock.
