The Scotty 378 Sure Stop Pro with Snubber is designed for use with braided downrigger line on Scotty electric downriggers. It triggers the auto-stop mechanism at the same point on the cable every time, so your downrigger stops at a consistent position on every retrieve — no guesswork, no overshoot.
The tuna cord loop provides a secure, hand-friendly hold for your self-locating snap, making it easier to pull gear to the boat without cutting into your hands. Abrasion-resistant tubing protects the high-wear areas of the assembly, and the included Scotty Snubber absorbs shock, provides electrical insulation, and helps prevent snags during retrieval. A stainless steel split ring keeps the optional weight retriever (Scotty 3025, sold separately) from sliding off the cable.
