The Seachoice 22301 is a complete fuel/water separator kit — everything needed for a new outboard fuel-filtration installation in one package. The 10-micron water-shedding filter element removes water and contaminants before they reach the engine, while the reusable clear bowl with drain plug lets you monitor fuel condition and drain collected water without removing the assembly. The powder-coated aluminum bracket resists corrosion and includes pre-sealed 3/8 in. NPT fittings and plugs ready for installation.

Fitment Notice: Confirm the vessel uses 11/16”-16 filter thread and 3/8 in. NPT fuel-line connections before installation. For outboard gasoline applications only.
When to Service
- When water or debris is visible in the clear collection bowl
- When restricted fuel flow or hard starting may indicate a loaded filter
- As part of annual or seasonal fuel-system maintenance
At routine service time, replace only the filter canister with Seachoice 22304 — the clear bowl and bracket are reusable.
Installation Notes
- Mount the bracket securely in an accessible engine-compartment location
- Install the supplied fittings and plugs in the correct bracket ports; all have pre-applied sealant
- Keep all sealing surfaces clean during assembly
- Follow the fuel-flow direction marked on the filter
- Prime the fuel system and inspect the complete assembly carefully for leaks before operating the engine
- Drain accumulated water through the bowl drain plug as needed during regular inspections

For routine maintenance on an existing 22301 setup, order only the 22304 replacement canister and reuse the bowl and bracket. Seachoice’s newer 22403 ClearChoice™ kit is the current updated replacement for the 22301 if a full-kit upgrade is preferred. The most common installation mistake is forgetting to plug unused bracket ports — the kit includes pre-sealed plugs specifically for this; always install them on any open ports to prevent air entering the fuel system.
