The Seachoice 22303 is a complete 10-micron water-separating fuel filter assembly with a reusable clear bowl and drain plug for 2-stroke and 4-stroke outboard engines. The water-shedding filter media removes water and contaminants from gasoline before they reach the engine. The clear bowl makes it easy to see accumulated water and debris without removing the assembly — drain collected water through the built-in drain plug as needed.
The Seachoice 22401 ClearChoice™ is Seachoice’s current updated replacement for the 22303. At filter-service time, replace only the canister with Seachoice 22304 — the reusable bowl can be retained.

Fitment Notice: Confirm the existing separator head, center-thread specification (11/16”-16), fuel-system layout, and mounting clearance before ordering. This assembly is intended for outboard gasoline applications using a clear collection bowl configuration.
When to Service
- When water or contamination is visible in the clear collection bowl
- When restricted fuel flow or hard starting indicates a loaded filter
- When the bowl, seals, or filter canister are damaged or deteriorated
- As part of annual or seasonal fuel-system maintenance

Installation Notes
- Install the assembly vertically on a compatible 11/16”-16 separator head
- Ensure bowl and sealing surfaces are clean before assembly
- Twist-on installation — hand-tighten only; do not over-torque
- Prime the fuel system after installation and inspect all connections carefully for leaks before operating the engine
- Drain accumulated water through the bowl drain plug as required during regular inspections

If only the filter is due for service and the bowl is still in good shape, order the 22304 replacement canister instead and save the bowl. Seachoice’s current updated version of this assembly is the 22401 ClearChoice™, which adds a float ring and self-venting drain. The most common ordering mistake is buying the complete assembly when only the canister needs replacement — inspect the bowl first before deciding which part to order.
