Important: Garmin Service Alert
Garmin has issued a mandatory service alert for Force Kraken Quick Release Plate Systems (010-12832-60 and 010-12832-61). The originally supplied shackle screw can loosen from vibration if not properly secured. Garmin recommends securing the quick-release handle with an outdoor-rated padlock using a 1/4" (6.35 mm) shackle to prevent unintended detachment. Follow Garmin’s current service instructions for this update before use.
Fitment Note
Confirm adequate deck space, mounting-hole access, structural support, and clearance for the complete Force Kraken installation before drilling. Use Garmin’s dedicated installation template and instructions when mounting the plate to the vessel.
