Ritchie Navigation RA-91 Angler Compass | Bracket & Surface Mount | Blue Dial

Ritchie Navigation RA-91 Angler Compass

The Ritchie RA-91 Angler is a compact, sport-focused magnetic compass designed for fishing boats, bass boats, and recreational powerboats where a clean, easy-to-read heading reference is needed without the bulk of a full-size steering compass. The 2.75" direct-reading blue dial is easy to read at a glance, and built-in green night lighting keeps it visible after dark without washing out your night vision.

The RA-91 offers two mounting options in one unit: an adjustable bracket mount with thumbscrews, or a surface mount with push-button removal for quick stowage between trips. Built-in compensators allow easy deviation adjustment, and the unit is 100% repairable — backed by Ritchie's 3-year warranty.

Parts Desk Insights

Best Use Case: The RA-91 Angler is purpose-built for fishing boats and recreational powerboats where a compact, removable compass is more practical than a permanent installation. The push-button surface mount makes it easy to pop off and stow when trailering or storing the boat, while the bracket mount option suits boats where a fixed but adjustable position is preferred. The blue dial and green night lighting are well-suited to low-light early-morning and late-evening fishing runs. If you're looking to step up to a permanent flush-mount compass for a larger vessel, the Helmsman HF-742 or HF-743 are the natural next step in the Ritchie lineup.
