Ritchie Navigation RA-93 Angler Compass — Surface Mount
The Ritchie RA-93 Angler is a compact, sport-focused magnetic compass designed for fishing boats and recreational powerboats. It mounts directly to any flat surface on the helm or dash and features a push-button release for quick removal and secure stowage between trips — ideal for trailerable boats or vessels where the compass is stored when not in use.
The 2.75" direct-reading blue dial is easy to read at a glance, and built-in green night lighting keeps it visible during early-morning and late-evening runs without washing out your night vision. Built-in compensators allow easy deviation adjustment, and the unit is 100% repairable — backed by Ritchie's 3-year warranty.
Looking for a bracket-mount version of the Angler? See the Ritchie RA-91 Angler Bracket-Mount Compass.

Parts Desk Insights
Best Use Case: The RA-93 is the right pick for anglers and recreational boaters who want a compass they can pop off and stow in seconds — particularly on trailerable bass boats and center consoles where the compass would otherwise be exposed during transport or storage. The push-button surface mount is more secure than a bracket for permanent dash placement, while still allowing quick removal. If you prefer an adjustable bracket that can be repositioned on the helm, the RA-91 bracket-mount Angler is the direct alternative. For a permanent installation, the Helmsman HF-742 or HF-743 are the natural step up.
