The NGK DCPR6E is a projected-tip, resistor-type spark plug in NGK's D-series compact 12mm thread design. Part number 3481, the DCPR6E is commonly specified for Honda and Yamaha 4-stroke outboard engines that use the smaller 12mm thread format — a design that allows for more compact combustion chamber geometry without sacrificing ignition performance.
The projected tip improves ignitability and combustion efficiency, while the built-in resistor suppresses radio frequency interference — important in the marine environment where VHF radios, GPS, and chartplotters are in close proximity to the engine.
