The Raymarine E70310 is the Raystar RS150, a high-performance 72-channel GPS/GNSS receiver designed as a dedicated external position sensor for Raymarine SeaTalkNG navigation systems. It delivers fast 10 Hz position updates — ten position fixes per second — with GPS, GLONASS, and SBAS augmentation for improved accuracy in all conditions. The RS150 connects directly to the vessel’s SeaTalkNG backbone and supplies position data to all compatible network devices simultaneously: chartplotters, autopilots, radar, AIS, and instruments.
The standalone E70310 includes the RS150 receiver, a 6 m SeaTalkNG spur cable, mounting hardware, and a sealing gasket. The pole-mount variant is listed separately as T70327; the optional pole-mount adapter for an E70310 installation is A80370, available separately.

Installation Notes
- Mount the RS150 where it has a clear, unobstructed view of the sky — avoid locations shadowed by radar domes, antennas, or superstructure
- Keep the receiver away from other high-power RF sources (VHF antennas, AIS antennas) by at least 0.5 m where possible
- Connect the included 6 m SeaTalkNG spur cable to any available T-piece on a powered SeaTalkNG backbone
- Seal the mounting surface with the included gasket — do not omit the gasket on horizontal surfaces exposed to standing water
- Verify the navigation display recognises the RS150 as a GNSS source in the network device list after installation

- What is the difference between E70310 and T70327? E70310 is the standalone Raystar RS150 receiver with cable and surface-mount hardware. T70327 is the same receiver supplied with the pole-mount adapter kit. If you want pole mounting and don’t already own the A80370 adapter, T70327 is the more complete package; if you are surface mounting, E70310 is the correct choice.
- Why would I need an external GPS receiver if my Axiom MFD has built-in GPS? The RS150 provides a faster 10 Hz update rate compared to the internal GPS on most Raymarine MFDs (typically 1–5 Hz). This matters most for autopilot tracking accuracy and radar MARPA target plotting, both of which benefit from high-frequency position updates. It also provides a dedicated antenna location with an unobstructed sky view, improving reception in helm-enclosed or hard-top installations.
- Does the RS150 supply position data to all devices on the network? Yes. Once connected to the SeaTalkNG backbone, the RS150 broadcasts position, speed over ground, course over ground, and time data to all compatible devices on the network simultaneously — chartplotter, autopilot, radar, AIS, and instruments all receive the same GNSS source.
- Is a SeaTalkNG backbone required? The RS150 connects via a SeaTalkNG spur to a SeaTalkNG backbone. A backbone with at least one powered T-piece is required.
