Overview
The Seachoice 50-21017 is a full-flow, spin-on oil filter for selected Johnson/Evinrude and Suzuki four-stroke outboard engines. Its 20-micron cellulose element traps damaging particles before they reach bearings and other lubricated engine components. Service Interval
Replace the oil filter at every engine oil change, following the interval in your outboard owner’s manual. Regular filter replacement prevents accumulated contaminants from circulating through bearings and other lubricated engine components.
Installation Notes
Remove the old filter and verify its sealing gasket came away with it. Clean the mounting surface, apply a light coat of clean engine oil to the new gasket, and thread the filter on by hand until snug. Run the engine after installation and inspect around the filter for any seepage.
