Product Description
Mercury Quicksilver 27-854142 is the injector-nozzle gasket used in specified MerCruiser diesel injection-pump, nozzle and line assemblies.
Engine Compatibility
The relevant catalog specifies this gasket for both 2.8L and 4.2L diesel applications, with four gaskets required for the 2.8L assembly and six for the 4.2L assembly. Confirm the exact engine serial number and injector design.
Replacement and Installation
Renew the nozzle gasket when the service procedure calls for it during injector removal. Keep the sealing seat clean and follow the diesel service manual for injector installation, hold-down torque and fuel-system precautions.
