The Mercury Quicksilver Drive Shaft Housing Oil Seal 26-32511 is an OEM upper gearcase oil seal for select MerCruiser sterndrive applications. It installs in the drive shaft housing area to help keep gear lubricant sealed inside the upper gear housing while helping prevent water intrusion.

When This Part Needs Replacement
Replace this oil seal if gear lube is leaking, water is entering the drive, the seal lip is worn or hardened, or the seal is disturbed during upper gear housing service.

Inspect the shaft sealing surface before installation. Replace any grooved, corroded, or damaged mating surfaces that could cause repeat leaks. Install the seal squarely with the proper driver and pressure-test the drive after service.
