Mercury 8M0222066 is a genuine OEM SAE 90 high-performance gear lube engineered for Mercury outboard lower units and MerCruiser sterndrives. Designed for extreme marine conditions, it provides superior protection against wear, corrosion, and water intrusion—helping extend gear life in high-load, high-speed applications.
This is the correct factory-spec gear oil for most Mercury systems 75 HP and up, and should always be used in place of generic automotive gear oils.
