The lithium-based grease formula contains PTFE (Teflon) and extreme-pressure additives to reduce friction and wear while resisting corrosion, heat, and water washout—making it ideal for marine equipment exposed to saltwater and heavy loads.

Important Note
For specialized components such as U-joints, gimbal bearings, or driveshaft splines, Mercury typically recommends using Extreme Grease or Assembly Grease instead of standard 2-4-C lubricant.
