- QUEST Series only: The MKP-40 is designed exclusively for QUEST Series motors. Do not attempt to fit this prop to other Minn Kota motor families — shaft diameter, prop hub, and pin geometry differ between series. Confirm your motor is a QUEST Series before ordering.
- Inspect the prop pin and hardware: When replacing a prop, inspect the prop pin, nut, and washer for wear or corrosion. Hardware is included in this kit, so replace all components at the same time rather than reusing worn hardware.
- Prop damage vs. motor damage: A damaged or bent prop can cause vibration that accelerates motor bearing wear. If your motor has been running with a damaged prop, inspect the lower unit and shaft for wear before installing the replacement.
