The Raymarine AIS700 is a Class B SO-TDMA AIS transceiver that does both jobs — it receives AIS broadcasts from surrounding vessels, and it transmits your own vessel’s information so other boats and commercial traffic can see you on their displays. In busy shipping lanes, anchorages, and coastal passages, that two-way visibility is one of the most effective safety upgrades you can make to any vessel.
The AIS700 uses the latest SO-TDMA (Self-Organised Time Division Multiple Access) networking protocol — the same technology used by Class A commercial AIS systems. Compared to older CSTDMA Class B transceivers, SO-TDMA delivers longer range, faster update rates, and more reliable transmission in congested traffic areas where many vessels are transmitting simultaneously. Your position gets through when it matters most.
The built-in antenna splitter is a standout practical feature — it allows the AIS700 to share your existing VHF radio antenna, eliminating the need to run a second antenna cable or install a second antenna on the vessel. Clean installation, no extra hardware.
Fully compatible with Raymarine’s SeaTalk NG network and NMEA2000/NMEA0183, it integrates directly with Axiom and Axiom+ multifunction displays to overlay AIS targets on your chart, with vessel name, speed, course, and CPA (closest point of approach) displayed automatically. A software or hardware Silent Mode lets you disable transmission when needed — useful in security-sensitive situations or when anchored in remote areas.
