Why You Need a Radar Reflector
Small fibreglass and wooden vessels have a very low natural radar signature, making them nearly invisible to the radar systems of larger ships. A radar reflector significantly increases your vessel's detectability, reducing the risk of collision — especially in fog, rain, or night passages. Many maritime authorities require radar reflectors for vessels under 150 GT operating in shipping lanes.

Pairs with the MOB Mounting Bracket Model 403 – Black (MOB-MBRKT-M2B) for a secure, fixed-mount installation. Can also be hoisted aloft on a halyard for maximum radar return.
Inspect your radar reflector regularly for damage or deformation. A compromised reflector geometry will reduce radar return effectiveness.
