It delivers the full communication and safety capability of the Ray63 and adds real-time AIS target data — feeding vessel traffic information directly to your chartplotter, radar, and instruments over NMEA 2000 for enhanced situational awareness on busy waterways and offshore passages.

Best Use Case: The Ray73 is the ideal primary VHF for vessels operating in commercial shipping lanes, busy coastal waters, or offshore passages where AIS situational awareness is a priority. The built-in AIS receiver eliminates the need for a separate AIS receiver unit, reducing helm clutter and installation complexity while feeding vessel traffic data directly to a Raymarine Axiom chartplotter or compatible MFD. Particularly well-suited for larger cruising sailboats and powerboats (30 ft+) running a full Raymarine helm system. The wireless RayMic option makes it an excellent choice for twin-helm vessels or catamarans where running wiring between stations is impractical. Step up from the Ray63 when AIS target display on your chartplotter is a requirement.
Installation Notes: Requires 12V DC power and a VHF antenna with PL-259 connector (sold separately). A separate AIS antenna or antenna splitter is recommended for optimal AIS reception — sharing the VHF antenna via a splitter is possible but may reduce AIS sensitivity. NMEA 2000 connection requires a backbone drop cable. RayMic handset and hailer horn sold separately.

Electronics are strictly inspected. No returns on open-box electronics. Exceptions may apply only with prior written approval. Any electronic unit that has been installed, powered, activated, or altered may not be eligible for return.
