A replacement sacrificial anode for BRP, OMC, Johnson, and Evinrude outboard motors, formulated in aluminum alloy for saltwater and brackish water use. This anode mounts to the outboard lower unit and provides sacrificial protection for the gearcase housing and surrounding hardware against galvanic corrosion.
Aluminum is the most versatile anode alloy, performing reliably in both saltwater and brackish environments and offering longer service life than zinc in mixed-water conditions. If you operate exclusively in freshwater, a magnesium alloy anode is the correct choice for that water type.
