Martyr Aluminum Anode Kit for MerCruiser Bravo II & III — Saltwater & Brackish Water
A complete set of sacrificial anodes for MerCruiser Bravo II and early Bravo III sterndrives, formulated in aluminum alloy for saltwater and brackish water use. This kit covers the three primary corrosion exposure points on the Bravo II/III drive — trim tab, driveshaft housing, and trim rams — so you can complete a full anode service in one order.

Service Interval
Replace all anodes at each annual haulout, or when any individual anode has worn to approximately 50% of its original size — whichever comes first. In high-galvanic marina environments, inspect more frequently as depletion rates can vary based on surrounding vessels and dock wiring conditions.

This kit is the most efficient way to service Bravo II and early Bravo III anodes — all three primary exposure points are covered in one purchase. Note that the Bravo II/III kit does not include a bearing carrier anode (unlike the Bravo I kit), which is correct for these drive configurations. The most common issue we see is customers ordering a Bravo I kit for a Bravo II or III drive — the component count is different, so always confirm your drive model before ordering. Aluminum is the best all-around alloy choice here: it outperforms zinc in brackish water and lasts longer than zinc in full saltwater, making it the preferred option for most coastal boaters.
