This complete magnesium anode kit is designed for Mercruiser Bravo II stern drives from 1989 and newer, and Bravo III stern drives from 1989 to 2003, used in freshwater environments. It provides full corrosion protection across all anode positions on the drive, replacing every sacrificial anode in one convenient kit.
All components are cadmium-free and conform to Mil-Spec A-21412(SH). Magnesium anodes are the correct choice for freshwater use — they are more electrochemically active than aluminum or zinc in low-conductivity freshwater, providing effective galvanic protection where other anode materials may be too passive to work properly.

This kit covers two drive families that share the same anode positions — the Bravo II (all years from 1989) and the early Bravo III (1989–2003). Magnesium is the correct anode material for freshwater — it is significantly more active than aluminum or zinc in low-conductivity water, where those materials may not corrode fast enough to provide effective galvanic protection.
