This magnesium anode kit is designed for Honda BF series outboard motors used in freshwater environments. It provides corrosion protection across four anode positions on the lower unit and bracket, replacing all sacrificial anodes in one convenient kit.
All components are cadmium-free and conform to Mil-Spec A-21412(SH). Magnesium anodes are the correct choice for freshwater use — they are more electrochemically active than aluminum or zinc in low-conductivity freshwater, providing effective galvanic protection where other anode materials may be too passive to work properly.
