Sikaflex 295UV Black is a one-component, moisture-curing polyurethane adhesive engineered for bonding polycarbonate and acrylic windows in marine applications where UV resistance is critical. Its UV-stabilized formulation resists degradation from prolonged sun and saltwater exposure — preventing the yellowing, cracking, and bond failure that standard polyurethane sealants develop over time in exposed installations. High thixotropy keeps it in place on vertical and overhead surfaces without sagging, and it cures to a flexible elastomer that accommodates the movement and vibration of a working boat. The black color suits dark-framed portlights, hatches, and deck fittings where a clean, finished appearance is required.
