Four-Position Keyed Ignition Control for Marine and Harsh-Environment Applications
The Cole Hersee 9579BP is a four-position key ignition switch built for universal marine and powersport applications where a full ignition sequence — accessories, run, and start — needs to be controlled from a single keyed switch point. Turn through Accessory, Off, Accessory+Ignition, and Start positions in sequence, just like a conventional automotive ignition. The key is removable only in the Off position, so there’s no risk of accidentally pulling the key mid-run.
The zinc diecast housing is built for harsh environments — resistant to vibration, impact, and the kind of abuse that plastic-bodied switches don’t survive long-term. Four screw terminals provide secure, direct wiring connections for accessory, ignition, and start circuits, and the 3/4" (19mm) panel hole fits the most common marine ignition switch cutout size.
