Arco High Performance Marine Starter – Clockwise Rotation
The Arco 30460 is the clockwise (CW) rotation version of Arco's high-performance permanent magnet gear reduction starter, engineered for inboard and sterndrive engines that require CW engagement. If your engine mounts the starter on the opposite side from the standard configuration, this is the correct unit. Same proven construction as the rest of the Arco high-performance starter line — compact, lightweight, and built to handle the demands of the marine environment day after day.

Rotation direction is the most common ordering mistake on this starter — the 30460 is CW rotation, while the Arco 30459 is the CCW (counter-clockwise) version for the same engine families. Before ordering, confirm your starter's rotation by looking at the drive end: if the pinion spins clockwise when engaging, you need this unit. Best used on inboard and sterndrive applications where the engine layout dictates a CW-mount starter position. When replacing, it's also a good time to inspect your solenoid — compatible options include the Arco SW450 Solenoid and the Arco SW109 Solenoid.
