The Uflex UP28TX52 combines the higher-displacement UP28 series hydraulic helm with the X52 tilt mechanism — delivering both the steering authority of the UP28 series and the ergonomic flexibility of a 48° adjustable tilt range with five locking positions. It is a direct drop-in replacement for SeaStar® front-mount tilt helms and is fully compatible with Teleflex/SeaStar cylinders, hoses, and oil.
The UP28TX52 is the right choice when you need more steering output than the UP25TX52 provides, combined with the ability to adjust the steering wheel angle for driver comfort.

Best Use Case: The UP28TX52 is the right helm when you need both the higher steering output of the UP28 series and the ergonomic benefit of a tilt-adjustable wheel — typically on larger outboard boats or twin-engine applications where the UP25TX52 feels slow or requires too many turns, and where the fixed wheel angle of a non-tilt helm is uncomfortable for the primary driver. It’s the most capable tilt helm in the standard Uflex lineup short of the SilverSteer™ system. As with all X52 tilt helms, confirm the original helm was a tilt unit before ordering — tilt and non-tilt helms are not interchangeable in most dash configurations.
