The SeaStar DK4220 SmartStick is a non-contact rudder position sensor and gauge kit designed to mount directly to SeaStar outboard front-mount hydraulic steering cylinders (HC5345 and HC5358). Unlike traditional position sensors that use mechanical linkages and moving parts, the SmartStick uses non-contact digital sensing technology — eliminating wear, reducing maintenance, and providing more reliable position feedback over time.
With fully potted electronics for corrosion resistance, integrated electronics in the sensor body for clean cable routing, and 35 feet of trimmable cable, the DK4220 is designed for straightforward installation without splices or external mounting hardware.
