Higher-Displacement Hydraulic Steering for Demanding Performance Applications

The SilverSteer™ 2.0 Hydraulic Steering System steps up from the 1.0 with a larger-displacement cylinder — the UC128/2-SVS — designed for boats that generate even greater rudder torque loads. Like the 1.0, it runs at 1,500 PSI and pairs the UP25 F-SVS front-mount helm pump with a cylinder engineered to minimize lost motion, delivering immediate, precise feedback at the wheel. The result is effortless steering on bass boats, flats boats, and tournament fishing rigs that push the limits of what a standard hydraulic system can handle.

This is a complete helm-and-cylinder kit. Everything you need to replace or upgrade your steering system is in the box — just add hoses for your specific installation. Two quarts of hydraulic oil are included.

What's Included

  • UP25 F-SVS — Front-mount hydraulic helm pump
  • UC128/2-SVS (SILVERSTEER20B) — Higher-displacement SilverSteer cylinder, designed for minimal lost motion
  • 2 quarts hydraulic steering oil

Note: Hydraulic hoses are not included and must be purchased separately for your specific installation.

Specifications

  • System pressure: 1,500 PSI
  • Helm: UP25 F-SVS front-mount pump
  • Cylinder: UC128/2-SVS (SILVERSTEER20B) — higher displacement than the 1.0
  • Hydraulic oil: 2 quarts included
  • Hoses: Not included — sold separately
  • SKU: 216-SILVERSTEER20B
  • Barcode: 702755042389
  • Weight: 15.9 kg (35.0 lbs.)

Best Use Cases

  • Bass boats, flats boats, and tournament fishing boats with very high rudder torque demands
  • Applications where the SilverSteer™ 1.0 cylinder displacement isn't sufficient for the engine or hull
  • High-performance single-engine outboard setups requiring maximum hydraulic response
  • Upgrades from mechanical or lower-capacity hydraulic systems on demanding performance hulls

Parts Desk Insights

The key difference between the 2.0 and the SilverSteer™ 1.0 is the cylinder: the UC128/2-SVS has a larger displacement, which means more fluid volume per stroke and greater force output — important when your engine or hull generates torque loads that overwhelm a standard cylinder. Both systems use the same UP25 F-SVS helm pump and run at 1,500 PSI, so the helm feel is similar; the difference is in how much work the cylinder can do. Check the engine application chart before ordering to confirm the 2.0 cylinder is the right fit for your engine bracket and tilt tube. Hoses are not included — measure your routing and order the correct length and fitting configuration. For a more general-purpose hydraulic steering kit, the SeaStar Pro HK7500A3 Hydraulic Steering Kit is a solid alternative for engines up to 350 HP.
